Silicon Alley Superstars Shine with StartupAlpha.com: Internet Week NY

By DONNA BOGATIN • Jun 5th, 2008 • Category: STARTUP PITCHES

bp1wbsm.jpg Saul Hansell–of “Bit” New York Times fame–got Internet Week wrong: CNET’s self-declared “downtown Manhattanite,” Caroline McCarthy, now follows suit.

Contrary to McCarthy’s trendy social trash talking–”Internet Week New York’s party scene off to a testosterone-fueled start”–this week’s celebration of Silicon Alley, jump-started by Mayor Bloomberg Monday evening at Gracie Mansion, kicked-off Tuesday and the inaugural luncheon festivities were hosted by StartupAlpha.com with a “Bootstrap Lunch” under the brilliantly sunny skies of Manhattan’s renowned Bryant Park, smack in midtown.

Not a disco ball was in sight, but creative technology ventures were plentiful in the heart of the Big Apple.

Founder & CEO of StartupAlpha.com, I welcomed dozens of tri-state tech entrepreneurs–of both the male AND female variety–all convened to share sunshine and startup strategies while alliance building and learning bootstrap financing techniques.
