Will Time Warner put NYC on an “Internet allowance”?
New York City Mayor Michael (terminals) Bloomberg knows a thing or two about technology entrepreneurship on the Web, he “revealed” while kicking off the promotional brainchild of David-Michel Davies’ Webby Awards franchise: The self-proclaimed “first-ever Internet Week New York.”
“First-ever” perhaps for Davies’ ‘International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences.”
Nevertheless, I, have been championing Silicon Alley every single week since June 1997, when I created the “first-ever” Internet For Entrepreneurs Workshop in NYC, on behalf of the SCORE division of the Small Business Administration.
Tuesday, June 3, I will help inaugurate THIS particular Internet Week, by hosting a Bootstrap Strategy Workshop for all New York entrepreneurs seeking to realize THEIR Internet dreams.
At Gracie Mansion this evening, Mayor Bloomberg attributed HIS multi- billion dollar success to the “diversity” of New York City and its workforce.“We don’t bribe companies to come here,” the Mayor lobbed. Sure, other states may hail claim to “programmers,” Bloomberg said, BUT NO OTHER PLACE ON EARTH can match the vibrancy and business acumen of NYC’s finest, the Mayor proudly affirmed.
Why do you think everyone wants to live here? Bloomberg asserted.
