Powerset concurs:

Powerset’s goal is to change the way people interact with technology by enabling computers to understand our language…applying its natural language processing to search, aiming to improve the way we find information by unlocking the meaning encoded in ordinary human language.

REALLY? Powerset has concocted its own new (unordinary) human language which mocks natural language and impairs the ability of computers to understand “our” communication.

I took Powerset up on its offer to “discover factz” at Wikipedia, thanks to Powerset. SURPRISE? There are none to be had! A Powerset search of Wikipedia articles for “factz” yields a Powerset “sorry, no results for your query.”

Powerset helpfully chides, “Did you mean fact?” YES!

Given Powerset’s self-proclaimed mission, however, it ought to be a 100% support for real, meaningful language, rather than further convoluting search and meaning by playing cutesy language games.

It is fitting, though, that Powerset would return a Wikipedia search with a no “factz” found result. After all, at Wikipedia, “TRUTH” is proudly NOT the mission! In other Wikipedia words, NO ORIGINAL RESEARCH
